Audio and subtitle options: practical help
Start with the question that matches what you see. Our listening-room guides distinguish missing tracks, muted playback and subtitle timing. We explain the controls that may be offered without promising that every server contains the same languages or caption tools.
The video is silent. Where should I begin?
Check the player mute button, browser tab and device volume in that order. Compare another video on the device before treating silence as evidence that the source lacks an audio track.
Where do I select another audio language?
Look for audio or settings inside the selected player. A language selector is source-dependent; a production-country filter on the catalogue does not change the track.
Where are subtitles enabled?
Inspect the player for CC, subtitles or a settings menu. If none is offered, compare another available server; the surrounding title page cannot manufacture a missing caption track.
Why do the subtitle and audio menus offer different languages?
Audio recordings and caption files are separate assets. A source can provide one language in sound and several in text, or the reverse.
Subtitles appear too early or late. What can I try?
Check whether the player offers a caption timing adjustment. If it does not, compare a different subtitle track or server and report the title, language and direction of the delay.
The captions describe a different episode. What should I report?
Include the parent show, season, episode, selected server and caption language. Confirm Now Playing first so a navigation mistake can be separated from an incorrect subtitle file.
Would lowering video quality fix a missing language?
A resolution setting affects the video stream offered by that source. It does not normally add an absent audio or subtitle track; inspect the language menus separately.
Can mobile browsers show different caption controls?
The source’s player can adapt its menus to a smaller screen. Open its settings after starting playback and compare another browser if a control is inaccessible.
Will a language choice carry over to every server?
Do not assume so. Changing servers can load a different player and set of tracks; check the selected language again after a switch.
Can I request a language that is not listed?
Send the title URL, source and desired language as feedback. A report helps describe the need, but it is not a guarantee that a new audio or caption asset can be supplied.
Still need a hand?
Use the contact checklist and include the page URL and what happened. A precise report helps us distinguish audio and subtitle reports from an unrelated issue.
