Describe a Subtitle Timing Problem
Describe whether captions are consistently early or late, or whether their timing changes as the video continues. That observation helps identify the symptom without assuming that the player offers an offset control or that every caption file has the same problem.
Confirm the content before judging timing
Verify the title and, for television, the season and episode in Now Playing. Captions for another episode can look badly synchronised while actually belonging to different content. Record the chosen source and caption language as part of the check.
Observe the pattern rather than guess a repair
Note a few ordinary moments and whether the delay remains similar. A constant-looking offset and a changing mismatch are useful descriptions, not a diagnosis of the file's technical cause. If the player exposes a timing control, use its offered options rather than assume such a feature exists.
If checking the menus reveals a fault, Work Through Sound and Caption Problems explains the next observations to collect.
Compare one alternative carefully
Keep the title and episode fixed while trying another track or source. State which comparison changed the symptom. Avoid switching browser, source and episode simultaneously, because the resulting difference would not identify what helped.
